Reconnect to your loved ones' stories.
Create a legacy of belonging.
Getting Started
Creating a Video for Someone Else

Investing in a video biography shows your loved ones that you want to celebrate their lives and hear their stories. It’s a beautiful way for families to bond. While making a Legacy Connections film, loved ones often remember and share stories that no one’s ever heard before. A family legacy video gives you the opportunity to see your family in a new light.
Perhaps you want to give a truly unique and meaningful gift to your parents for their 50th wedding anniversary, to your grandfather on his 80th birthday, or to your children to learn about the family members that they never got to know. A video biography gives your parents, grandparents, or other loved ones the opportunity to share the important life lessons, struggles, and achievements that have shaped their lives and your family’s story.
Your investment in a video biography is a generous gift to your family and descendants, and we make sure that everyone involved enjoys the process.
We are fortunate that professional digital video and editing technology now makes independent documentaries affordable for individuals. Investing in a legacy video biography shows your loved ones that you want to celebrate their lives and share their stories with future generations. It’s a beautiful way for families to bond regardless of age or physical distance apart. In the process of creating video biographies stories often come up that other family members never heard before. A Legacy Connections film gives you the opportunity to see your family in a new light.
To forget one’s ancestors is to be a brook without a source, a tree without root.
How it Works
Every family documentary project begins with a brief consultation to get to know you, what kind of project you want to make, and to gather information about your family. The most important factor to consider is whether your loved one(s) will want to participate because their cooperation is essential to the process (unless you are interested in surprising them with a tribute documentary). This is also the time to begin to think about any particular stories or memories that you would like to see captured in the documentary
We can send you a gift certificate to present to your family member(s) telling them about your gift of a personal biography documentary. If you are considering giving this gift to a family member you may want to direct them to this Web site so they can learn more about the process.
Based on our initial conversation, we create interview questions to help people share their stories and trigger memories with the least amount of effort on their part. Great interviews are spontaneous, revealing, and unrehearsed and that is only possible when people are comfortable. Whenever possible, interviews are conducted in the place people feel most comfortable, usually in their own home.
